I went to the Alliston location for the first time today with my son and had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and patient with my son when he was picking out what cat nip bag he wanted and the over all atmosphere just felt so calm and welcoming!
The middle age lady that works here doesn’t like to bag purchases or say hello when purchasing something. This is now the second time this has happened and when I asked if she’ll put my stuff in the paper bag she looks like I’m crazy. I will contest head office about this. Unacceptable behaviour as I’ve been a customer here for years and buy for multiple animals.
We get our Dog Food, Cat Food both Science Diet & also Walnut Multi cat litter at Pet Value. We've never experienced a shortage of our requirements. The clerks are always polite & most helpful. I must add to all of you cat owners out there the Walnut Multi litter is the very best product by far. ZERO dust ZERO smell absolutely a fabulous product.
The last few years I have enjoyed almost every Pet Value I've been to. Nothing negative about this store, but I must say not as over the top as with my previous location. We will return.
As much as it's not a grand selection, there's a lot of things you can special order if you just ask. The staff are happy to help. My picky cat only tolerates a certain kind of litter and I could only find it online (it's already so expensive, so paying the shipping on top was making me cringe). I was happy to find that the staff could order it in for me. I appreciate having this store locally.
Great store for cat or dog food, treats, toys or accessories. Can’t speak much for other types or animals though if that’s what you’re looking for. We live in alliston and in a pinch if we need something they are there! Most staff there are friendly and nice, I’ve only gotten a sour taste about one person, maybe an off day? We all have them! I wish they had a bit more options but for something quick they are there. I do like the fact they have a bin for donations that go directly to the Alliston Humane Society.
We are in the process of switching our dog over to the Orijen Original Dog Food. The owner, Rick, was very helpful, both on the phone and in person when I went in to pick up the bag. The prices seem very fair and the service so far has been outstanding. A great experience overall and highly recommended!
